The screen rotates automatically between portrait and landscape modes.
Use buttons to adjust location, time, moon size/color, toggle grid and orbit display, and access moon info and calendar.
The yellow seek bar lets you set the time from 0:00 to 23:59.
Set the date and move time to simulate solar or lunar eclipses. Useful for planning and learning.
2025 eclipse events:
The moon's phase depends on its angle to the sun. When opposite, we get a full moon. When aligned, the moon is hidden (new moon).
